System Analysis, Control and Information Processing
ACTUAL CONDITION OF INTEROPERABILITY PRO BLEM
Annotation: The current status of the “interoperability problem” is considered. Analyzed new trends and factors in solving the problem of interoperability, and summarized the experience of the authors on the application of the previously developed and fixed in GOST R 55062-2012 approach. It is shown that the relevance of solving the problem is constantly increasing, and a new approach to its solution is proposed.
Methods and Systems of Information Protection
SECURITY AND RESILIE NCE OF MOBILE EDGE C OMPUTING SYSTEMS
Annotation: This article addresses the issue of security and resilience of systems using an actively developing technology – mobile edge computing. Authors highlight the background for development of “extended cloud” – fog and edge computing. This article also contains reference structure of edge computing system. Security and resilience issues are considered – from those that are inherited from cloud technologies to ones specific for edge computing systems. Authors propose a number of organizational and technical solutions for such problems and issues. Implementation of anomaly detection subsystem is specifically highlighted among them. In addition, authors propose to utilize management based on policies and rules of different levels for corresponding complex systems.
ANALYSIS OF EVALUATI ON METHODS OF USE APLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES ON REASONABILITY OF APPLYING IN FINISHED SOFTWARE PR ODUCTS FROM THE SECURITY POINT OF VIEW
Annotation: Information and communications technologies make our lives easier, however, they also endanger the personal data of those who use them. The main reason for this contradiction is errors in the program code, which are the problem of the possible insecure using of application programming interfaces (APIs). Such errors make software vulnerable to malefactors. In this article, the author sets the task: to bring developers closer to solving this problem by proposing a methodology for evaluating usability and identifying API security issues.
System Programming
AN UNIVERSAL CODE FO RMATTING LIBRARY FOR DOMAIN - SPECIFIC LANGUAGES
Annotation: There are various code style standards, including the ones for a single programming language. For ease of compliance with these standards, developers use automatic code for matting tools in their programs. There is also a need for universal means of automatic formatting of code, suitable for languages with a very different syntax. This need, in particular, arises in those tasks where domain-specific languages are used. In suc h tasks, it is often preferable to not have an external code auto-formatting tool, but to have a solution based on a library integrated into a whole software project. Such a library was developed by the author in the Python language. This article provides an overview of modern code style standards and a description and features of the developed library.
THE NEED FOR CARRYIN G OUT A STANDARDI ZATION OF INTEGRATION PROCESSE S AT THE DESIGN STAGE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Annotation: The standards in the design of systems and the problems arising in the further development of the existing system in the integration of new systems, functions and processes were reviewed. The achievable results as new directions in the field of standardiza tion of integration processes were described.
A TECHNIQUE FOR INDIRECT ASSESSING OF FUNCTIONAL SAFETY IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS USING ELEMENTS OF PRINCE2 METHODOLOGY
Annotation: A method for estimating the integral characteristic of damage-risk based on the elements of risk quantification in the PRINCE2 methodology is proposed.
