CONTEMPORARY CONDITIONS

Annotation: The features of planning, development and application of standards to ensure
interoperability in modern conditions are considered. It is noted that ensuring
interoperability is currently one of the key directions of standardization. A look at modern
conditions is given. The approach to ensuring interoperability proposed by the V.A.
Kotelnikov IRE of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which is entrusted with the
management of the PC206/TC22 "Interoperability" subcommittee, developed standards
and difficulties encountered in the implementation of this approach, is described. In
conclusion, suggestions are given for the formation of a solution to the of interoperability
problem.
