ON THE ISSUE OF EVALUATING THE ACCURACY OF METHODS AND TEST RESULTS OF OIL AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

Annotation: To obtain reliable data on the results of tests of oil and petroleum products using instrumental control methods,
numerous models are used to evaluate quality indicators. The analysis of precision indicators (convergence and
reproducibility) used in instrumental methods of testing petroleum products is carried out. It has been revealed that
some standard test methods have precision in all ranges of measurements, and some methods have different precision
depending on the measurement range. In this case, precision indicators can be expressed not only as a numerical
value, but also as a functional dependence on the value of the quality indicator obtained during the tests. Therefore,
the classification of oil and petroleum products testing methods according to precision indicators into four types has
been carried out. Theoretical and standardized options for processing statistical data based on the results of tests of
oil and petroleum products are presented.
